The Vice President of EHS is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading the company’s overall health, safety, and environmental strategy to ensure compliance, protect people and assets, and promote a proactive safety culture. This role provides executive leadership and direction for all EHS initiatives across business units, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and regulatory requirements. Develop, implement, and lead the organization’s EHS strategy to support business goals and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT and other applicable manufacturing regulations. Oversee EHS programs and policies for all manufacturing sites, warehouses, and field operations. Lead a team of approximately 5 direct reports and 19 indirect reports across multiple business segments. The role provides strategic leadership and guidance to segment and site-level EHS professionals and ensures consistency of programs across all locations. Partner with EHS team and plant leadership to identify and mitigate operational risks, reduce incident rates, and drive proactive safety initiatives. Champion a culture of accountability and engagement in safety across all levels of the organization. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and ensure timely corrective actions and communication of lessons learned. Establish EHS performance metrics (KPIs) and regularly report progress to the executive team and board. Oversee environmental programs related to waste management, air and water quality, chemical storage, and energy efficiency. Ensure compliance with corporate sustainability goals and environmental regulations. Lead internal audits and coordinate with external regulators and third-party auditors. Manage EHS training programs, ensuring all employees and contractors receive appropriate education on safety practices and emergency procedures. Stay current on changes to federal and state manufacturing safety and environmental laws and implement necessary program updates. Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights on risk management, regulatory trends, and emerging technologies in workplace safety. Collaborate with Director of Risk, HR and legal teams to manage employee injury cases and ensure proper documentation and resolution. Ensure proper implementation of air sampling, noise monitoring, ventilation assessments, and PPE programs. Conduct fire risk assessments and ensure fire protection systems are maintained and tested. Collaborate with insurance providers and risk consultants to evaluate and reduce exposure. Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies and industry groups. Travel as needed up to 75% Other duties as assigned, directed, requested, or needed. Position Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred). 15+ years of progressive EHS leadership experience, including 5+ years in a senior or executive role. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams, with a strong focus on applying these tools to support environmental compliance, safety program documentation, incident tracking, regulatory reporting, training presentations, and cross‑functional communication. Proven experience building and leading EHS strategies in a multi‑site or global environment. Strong knowledge of EHS regulatory requirements and risk management frameworks. Demonstrated ability to lead cultural change and drive measurable performance improvement. Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills. Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or similar preferred. Strategic and operational leadership – demonstrates the ability to develop and execute a clear EHS vision aligned with the company’s operational and business goals, balancing long‑term strategic initiatives with day‑to‑day operational needs. Risk assessment and mitigation – identifies, analyzes, and prioritizes potential safety and environmental risks within manufacturing operations and implements robust risk mitigation strategies through data‑driven decision‑making and proactive hazard identification. Regulatory and environmental compliance – maintains deep knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and state environmental and safety regulations specific to manufacturing, ensuring company policies, practices, and reporting meet or exceed all compliance requirements. Continuous improvement – champions a culture of continuous improvement in EHS performance, using KPIs, benchmarking, and best practices to drive measurable results. Employee engagement and safety culture development – builds a strong, proactive safety culture where every employee feels responsible for health, safety, and environmental performance. Crisis and incident management – leads the organization’s response to major incidents, emergencies, or environmental events, ensuring thorough investigations, root cause identification, and corrective actions company‑wide.
