Responsibilities
Conducts individual counseling session, open and closed groups, family and conjoint counseling sessions.
Presents alcoholism and substance abuse educational information to patients and significant others.
Functions as part of an inter-disciplinary team.
Ensures referrals to modalities of such as determined by the needs of the patient.
Writes clear, timely, concise progress notes, areas of conflict short term, long term treatment planning and psychosocial history, etc.
Assess new patients upon admission.
Conducts small group activities.
Maintain and enhance professional growth and development through in-services, seminars, workshops, professional affiliations, etc.
Understands the Diversion Prevention Plan for the Methadone Substance Abuse Treatment Program and Medical Managed Detox Unit.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree BS/BA or Life experience and Specific Education and Training in the field of Addiction
CASAC License or Higher
Minimum of 2 years of FT work in an OASAS certified program
