Summary:

We are seeking a skilled

Electrician / Automation Technician

to join our client's Maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for electrical installation, troubleshooting, and repair in both industrial and facility environments. You'll also support advanced troubleshooting of

electro-mechanical and fluid power systems , perform work on automated manufacturing equipment, and provide training to operations staff. This is a hands-on, full-time position with exposure to high-level automation technologies and opportunities to support continuous improvement.

Shift:

Primarily

Day Shift , with flexibility to support

off-shifts, overtime, early starts, nights, weekends, and holidays

as required by business needs.

Pay:

$30.00 – $42.00 an Hour / $62,400 - $87,360

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in compliance with

NEC (National Electric Code)

and

NFPA 70E . Perform installations per electrical layout, specifications, and local codes. Support the upgrade, maintenance, and troubleshooting of

automated systems and technologies . Interpret blueprints and specifications for installation and repair of automated manufacturing equipment. Diagnose errors across mechanical, electrical, and fluid power systems. Install conduit systems, lighting, basic control systems, motor feeders, and perform standard motor connections. Connect wiring to breakers, transformers, and other key components. Test electrical systems and circuits using meters and other diagnostic tools to ensure safe and proper operation. Perform

preventative and predictive maintenance

on equipment. Participate in toolbox talks, audits, and safety initiatives. Clean and maintain job sites, tools, and equipment. Mentor less experienced staff and support their development. Step in to complete other related duties as assigned by leadership.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma, GED, or TASC required. Associate degree in

Automation Technology or Manufacturing Technology

preferred; equivalent technical/military training considered. Proven experience with

automated manufacturing equipment

including

PLC systems

and controls. State-accredited Journeyperson's license preferred. Strong knowledge of

NEC codes , safe work practices, and troubleshooting methods. Experience using CMMS systems for maintenance tracking and project planning. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents. Demonstrated leadership and ability to train or mentor others. Ability to work independently under pressure and without direct supervision. Physically able to lift up to

50 lbs , work at heights, and navigate confined spaces.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:

Regular standing, walking, stooping, squatting, stair and ladder climbing. Frequent use of hands and arms for installation and repair tasks. Exposure to loud manufacturing environments. Ability to lift/move up to

50 lbs

regularly. Must be able to safely operate tools and testing equipment. Core Duties & Responsibilities: Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems in compliance with the

NFPA 70E . Perform layout-based installations of wiring, conduit, fixtures, control systems, and motor feeders. Connect and verify wiring to circuit breakers, transformers, and other key components. Conduct electrical inspections and system testing using ohmmeters, voltmeters, and related tools. Identify and correct safety hazards or system defects. Support routine and non-routine maintenance of manufacturing equipment. Execute Preventative and Predictive Maintenance tasks. Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environments. Participate in toolbox talks, safety audits, and adhere to all safety practices. Mentor and coach junior team members. Complete other duties as assigned.
