What Youll Do Oversee GLEs comprehensive records management program, including classified and unclassified materials. Act as the companys authority on document control and records management, advising leadership on compliance and best practices. Develop, implement, and enforce policies and procedures for document creation, marking, retention, storage, and destruction. Manage and mentor a team of Document Management Specialists and Technical Writers, ensuring high-quality work and compliance. Lead the creation, revision, and control of technical and procedural documents such as programs, manuals, and instructions. Maintain secure access, permissions, and revision controls within electronic document management systems (EDMS). Conduct and support internal and external audits, addressing findings and ensuring continuous improvement. Provide training and education on document control and records management principles. Stay current on regulatory changes, standards, and technologies impacting documentation practices. Collaborate across departments to enhance accessibility, accuracy, and efficiency of document systems.
What Youll Bring Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Technical Communication, Information Management, or related field. 7+ years of document management and technical writing experience, including 3+ years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Expertise in records management, regulatory compliance, and documentation systems. Strong written and verbal communication skills with exceptional attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management software. U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE/NRC Q-Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in the nuclear industry and familiarity with NQA-1 standards. Advanced understanding of federal regulations related to nuclear documentation. Experience leading teams using DevonWay or similar document management systems. Proven track record managing documentation in highly regulated technical environments.
