Summary
As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk in our aerospace manufacturing facility, you will play a vital role in the movement of materials throughout our operations. You'll be responsible not only for shipping and receiving tasks but also for handling, storing, and distributing materials essential to our production lines. Your work ensures timely delivery, quality control, and accurate documentation in support of our high-performance aerospace technologies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders Pack, label, and prepare materials for domestic and international shipment Safely handle, transport, and store materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (MHE) Organize and stage raw materials and work-in-progress inventory for production use Assist with kitting parts and organizing supplies for manufacturing jobs Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with cycle counts and audits Prepare shipping documentation such as bills of lading, packing slips, and customs declarations Ensure proper handling of sensitive, hazardous, or high-value materials in accordance with safety and regulatory standards Collaborate across departments to resolve inventory discrepancies and support production schedules This is intended to give an overview of the position and is not an exhaustive list. Requirements
High school diploma equivalent 2+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or material handling, preferably in a manufacturing environment Proficiency using ERP systems and warehouse management tools Forklift certification and experience with industrial material handling equipment (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hiring) Familiarity with AS9100 and other industry compliance standards is a plus Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Capable of lifting 50 pounds and standing/walking for extended periods
