Alliant Power is currently accepting applications for a full-time Production Inventory Control Specialist.

This position is responsible for monitoring production inventory. This includes maintaining an accurate

and accountable inventory control system, overseeing order fulfillment and related issues and ensuring

all issues are handled in a concise and timely fashion.

Lead cycle count program to ensure proper inventory usage and control. Ensure daily, weekly and

monthly cycle counts are maintained.

• Pick parts for production orders ensuring correct item number and quantity.

• Create and coordinate outplant work orders and maintain good relationships with our external

venders.

• Assist and support production Leads, FIE and Engineering with any inventory needs.

• Assist in securing warehouse contents against loss.

• Investigate discrepancies, and Inventory shortages.

• Train employees on proper inventory movement processes in NAV system, as well as retraining and

follow up.

• Assist in training of proper receiving, put away, and picking processes.

• Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory.

• Insure (FIFO) is being performed.

• Support Purchasing department with monitoring inventory levels of selected SKUs.

• Update ERP with timely and valid information when necessary, and make inventory adjustments.

• Respond to various departments within the organization who may need information regarding

products, locations, stock levels etc.

• Move product throughout the warehouse using a forklift or pallet jack.

• Assist in receiving of shipments from vendors, while verifying correct part numbers and quantities

received. Unpack and stock parts in correct bin locations.

• Assist in the maintenance of stock bins by assuring proper sizing, labeling, condition, and unit of

measure.

• Establishes and trains staff on procedures related to proper inventory control methods.

• Ensure personal safety and the safety of others by following OSHA mandated requirements; inform

Warehouse Supervisor of any dangerous behaviors in the workplace.

• Operate in conformance with the requirements of the quality management system.

• Assist other employees both in and out of the department.

• Provide feedback on system needs/changes.

• Perform other related duties and assignments as required
