Position Overview A private family on the
Upper East Side
is seeking a warm, engaging, and responsible
Part-Time Nanny
who is a
native French speaker
to care for two children, ages 11 and 14. The position primarily involves after-school care, including managing school pickups, assisting with homework, and coordinating evening routines and activities. The ideal candidate will bring positive energy, patience, and a genuine love of working with children in this age group, while providing consistent exposure to the French language in a natural and encouraging way
Responsibilities Provide attentive after-school care for two children (ages 11 and 14) Communicate with the children exclusively in French to support language development Assist with homework, school projects, and after-school routines Supervise and coordinate after-school activities and playdates Prepare light snacks or simple meals for the children as needed Ensure children’s belongings (school bags, sports gear, etc.) are organized and ready for the next day Maintain a positive, nurturing environment that encourages independence and good habits Communicate regularly with parents about schedules, activities, and child-related needs Qualifications Native French speaker (required) College Degree is preferred Previous Tutor or childcare experience with school-aged or teenage children Excellent references from previous employers Reliable, organized, and responsible with strong communication skills Energetic, warm, and engaging personality Ability to set healthy boundaries and maintain a structured routine Comfortable working in a private home environment Authorized to work in the U.S. SOCIETY STAFFING 379 West Broadway, 2nd Floor New York, NY 10012 Agency DCA License #2008231 www.societystaffing.com SSIN123
