About Us
TheMathCompany (MathCo®) is a global Enterprise AI and Analytics company trusted by Fortune 500 and Global 2000 enterprises for data‑driven decision‑making. Since 2016, MathCo has built custom AI and advanced analytics solutions focused on solving real business problems through its innovative hybrid model.
Our proprietary platform,
NucliOS , provides pre‑built workflows and plug‑and‑play modules that enable connected intelligence with lower TCO.
At MathCo, we foster an open, collaborative, and transparent culture. We value curiosity, bold thinking, and execution — making it a great place to work and grow.
Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic AI/ML consulting leader to join our Customer Success organization. As a Senior AI/ML Lead, you will shape and guide enterprise AI and data strategies for large clients in the CPG and retail sectors, translating complex technology concepts into actionable business outcomes.
This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, AI enablement, and analytics advisory. You will not be expected to code or build models yourself, but you will need to speak the technical language fluently — engaging confidently with both C‑suite stakeholders and technical delivery teams to drive AI‑powered transformation.
The position is based in or commutable to the New Jersey / New York area (near Newark, NJ).
Key Responsibilities
Partner with executive and functional leaders to define AI and data strategies, identifying high‑impact use cases that align with business priorities.
Translate AI/ML concepts (e.g., Generative AI, Agentic AI, NLP, Computer Vision) into clear strategic roadmaps and investment priorities.
Advise on operating models, organization design, and data enablement strategies that accelerate AI adoption.
Frame problems, structure hypotheses, and craft executive‑ready narratives that connect analytics to business value.
Lead cross‑functional teams in the design and implementation of AI‑driven initiatives, ensuring end‑to‑end alignment between strategy and execution.
Oversee delivery teams building solutions across domains such as demand forecasting, price optimization, trade promo efficiency, and portfolio optimization — ensuring strategic fit and measurable impact.
Provide direction on AI/ML architectures, data ecosystems, and delivery models, without being hands‑on in the engineering or model‑building work.
Serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders on change management, capability building, and value realization.
Client Engagement & Thought Leadership
Build and sustain senior‑level relationships within client organizations.
Lead strategic discussions, workshops, and presentations that influence enterprise AI and analytics decisions.
Mentor teams in consulting excellence — elevating problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Required Qualifications
Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in Computer Science, Applied Math, AI, Data Science, or related field.
7–12 years of experience leading AI/ML or data strategy initiatives in consulting or enterprise environments.
Proven experience defining and executing AI or Data strategies for large organizations.
Strong fluency in AI/ML concepts — capable of engaging credibly with technical teams on topics like LLMs, GenAI, NLP, computer vision, data architecture, and MLOps — without needing to be hands‑on.
Deep understanding of CPG industry dynamics, including application landscapes (ERP, CRM, SRM, TPM/TPO) and data ecosystems (data lakes, pipelines, cloud).
Experience across multiple analytical domains such as demand forecasting, pricing, promotion effectiveness, and portfolio optimization.
Background in strategy or management consulting with a solid consulting toolkit (problem structuring, executive communication, stakeholder management).
Excellent executive communication and storytelling skills; ability to distill complex technical content into compelling strategic insights.
Experience with MBB, Big 4, or analytics consulting boutiques preferred.
Must be based in or willing to commute to the New Jersey / New York area.
