Position Summary:
The Critical Care Nurse is a Registered Nurse who provides individualized care to critically ill patients and their families. The nurse performs skills for patients who are hemodynamically unstable or who require specialized nursing care and monitoring equipment. The nurse is responsible for total care of assigned patient(s) for the entire shift and follows established guidelines by the AACN in accordance with hospital and unit policies and procedures. Required Qualifications
Current California Registered Nurse license AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Bachelor of Science in Nursing Customer service skills appropriate to the job Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System Preferred Qualifications
Membership in a professional organization Basic computer skills Two years recent experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care facility One year recent experience as a Registered Nurse in a Critical Care Unit Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms Total Rewards
