Salary Anticipated range: $45,000 to $50,000 per year.

Responsibilities The Undergraduate Student Success Center is seeking a Learning Center Coordinator with a STEM background. This role involves coordinating science‑related tutorial services aimed at improving student retention, progression, and graduation rates. As the Science Learning Center Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the daily operations and growth of the center. Your key role will be to create and maintain a supportive and stimulating learning environment for a diverse student population. The position requires close collaboration with professors, students, and staff to enrich the academic journey of those enrolled in science courses.

Key Responsibilities

Recruit, train, and manage a team of tutors and support staff.

Conduct professional development workshops and ensure staff are up-to-date with the latest teaching methodologies and scientific knowledge.

Evaluate tutorial staff on performance and productivity.

Foster an inclusive and interactive learning environment for students.

Develop strategies to engage students in science learning activities and monitor their academic progress.

Conduct workshops to improve comprehension of scientific principles.

Compile monthly reports detailing Learning Center usage, results, and student achievement.

Engage with teaching staff to promote student involvement in tutorial‑related activities.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree requirements: Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field with minimum two years of related experience, or a Master’s degree in an appropriate field.

Recommended Competencies

At least 3 years of experience in educational program management or coordination, preferably in a S.T.E.M. related field.

Strong understanding of curriculum and teaching methodologies.

Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and manage multiple projects.

Preferred Qualifications

Degree in mathematics education, science education, a S.T.E.M. degree, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Conditions of Employment
