Job Description We’re looking for an inspired Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen across our restaurant, BBQ pit, and food truck in Santa Clara, California. This hands‑on leadership role is perfect for a culinary professional who thrives in fast‑paced environments, values local, fresh ingredients, and wants to help shape a kitchen culture rooted in quality and community.
Responsibilities
Lead daily kitchen operations across restaurant, BBQ pit, and food truck service
Ensure consistent, high‑quality execution of recipes with attention to presentation
Train, mentor, and supervise prep, line, and food truck teams
Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and California health standards
Collaborate on menu development featuring seasonal, locally sourced ingredients
Manage ordering, inventory, and minimize food waste
Foster a positive, team‑oriented kitchen culture and lead by example
Required Experience & Skills
3+ years in a culinary leadership role
Expertise in barbecue techniques (smoking, grilling, roasting)
Experience with mobile or food truck kitchens is a plus
Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, high‑volume service, and cost control
Proven ability to lead and develop kitchen staff in a fast‑paced environment
ServSafe or equivalent food handler certification
Passion for bold flavors, seasonal California produce, and team collaboration
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Culinary school training or advanced culinary certifications
