Job Description
Seeking a qualified Project Architect / Project Manager with 7+ years of post‑bachelor's degree architecture firm experience in single‑family residential design, multifamily residential and commercial design. The role requires handling a wide range of assignments in terms of project scope and size, with daily responsibilities that can vary greatly.
Responsibilities
Keeping project team efforts organized
Ensuring quality in project delivery
Managing budgets, schedule, and fees
Coordinating with consultants
Employing and evolving the firm's processes and procedures
Mentoring staff
Maintaining a positive workflow and energetic team atmosphere
Qualified candidates will possess
A strong design sensibility and passion for creating innovative, functional and aesthetically compelling projects
A professional degree (B.Arch. or M.Arch.) and 7+ years of architectural design, production, and technical experience through all phases of project design, documentation, and construction administration
Minimum of 3 years of proven organizational and project management experience
Ability to manage multiple projects of varying sizes, championing thoughtful design and representing the client's vision on every project
Superior leadership and communication skills and high organization
Exceptional technical knowledge of construction documents
Ownership and accountability for project and overall program success
Ability to multi‑task, problem‑solve, and react to changing priorities in a challenging, fast‑paced environment
Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and Adobe Photoshop (clear indication on resume)
This person should be highly collaborative by nature with the willingness to approach every project with creativity. They must have an innate desire to produce meaningful work through strong design skills. It is expected that they be technically strong enough to provide guidance to junior resources on the project team.
All candidates must submit a cover letter, resume, and portfolio of professional work samples for consideration including design sketches, presentation drawings and construction documents/details.
