Job Description Minimum Qualifications
Professional degree in architecture – BA in Architecture, B.Arch, M.Arch
Min 3 years of experience in an Architectural setting
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
Proficiency in Excel spreadsheet management
Proficiency with AIA Contract documents
The position Project Manager will include the responsibilities listed below. This synopsis represents a starting point with an understanding that everyone should have the opportunity for professional growth, and that all employees and all positions will evolve to ensure the best fit between an employee’s skills and our studio’s needs.
Façade Assessment and Project Management: Responsible for the review of ongoing projects on site.
Participate in initial façade assessments including New York City DOB FISP inspections from swing stage scaffolding, aerial lift, or supported scaffolding.
Use sounding and other tactile assessment measures to determine material conditions.
Photo document existing conditions.
Assess defects and make repair recommendations including where emergency or immediate repairs are required.
Generate repair scopes in cooperation with the principal based in initial assessments.
Work with the Landmarks Preservation Commission to secure approval of repair scopes.
Generate bid documents and assist other company staff in the bid leveling process.
Document and track all components of the project including:
Photographic documentation of existing conditions, required repair locations and repairs in various stages.
Existing conditions surveys and assessment.
Review of submittals and RFIs from contractors.
Review of payment application requests from contractors.
Attend and document project meetings as requested including the generation of field reports and meeting notes.
Drafting / Graphics Output: Our studio primarily operates with 2D Autodesk AutoCAD software.
Drafting of deliverable contract documents in accordance with project deadlines.
Provide site surveys to gather and document physical and dimensional data on project sites.
Participate in management of detail library.
Drafting of field revisions and mark-ups to meet client and contractor deadlines.
Drafting of supplementary diagrams, sketches, plot plans, and other project graphics.
Provide photo renderings of studio projects using Adobe Photoshop and similar software.
