Lead Research Consultant - Investment Banking / Private Equity
Blacklock Group is proud to be supporting an elite boutique investment bank in New York City as they continue to expand their Generalist Investment Banking team with the addition of a Senior Associate.
This is a unique opportunity to join a top-performing platform that advises on some of the most high-profile and complex M&A and capital markets transactions across multiple industries. The team is recognized for its strong deal execution capabilities, client-focused approach, and collaborative, entrepreneurial culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the execution of M&A and capital raising transactions, including valuation, financial modeling, due diligence coordination, and process management.
Oversee the preparation of marketing materials, such as pitch books, management presentations, and information memoranda.
Drive client engagement, participating in meetings, strategic discussions, and negotiations alongside senior bankers.
Manage and mentor analysts and associates, ensuring high-quality deliverables and fostering professional development within the team.
Contribute to origination initiatives, including sector research, idea generation, and building long-term client relationships.
Collaborate with senior leadership to support business development and refine execution processes across the platform.
Requirements
4–7 years of Investment Banking experience (ideally with exposure to M&A and capital markets transactions).
Proven technical proficiency in financial modeling, valuation, and transaction structuring.
Strong execution track record across a variety of deal types and industries.
Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills, with the ability to interface directly with clients and senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership in managing junior team members and coordinating multi-party deal processes.
Experience at an elite boutique, bulge bracket, or top middle-market investment bank is highly preferred.
