IT Project Manager
to join our team. The
IT Project Manager
leads multiple projects within the IT department in support of the Digital Strategy and partners with business leaders and cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact projects that power our nationwide operations. Location & Schedule
Location : This position must be based in either the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas; or Portland, Oregon metropolitan areas. Schedule : Hybrid, with 2 days per week in the office and 3 days per week remote. Standard Office Hours : 7:30 AM 4:00 PM Local Time. 3 steps : Talent Acquisition Manager (30 minutes), Director/Hiring Manager (1 hour), Leadership Team Panel (1 hour). Manage projects and duties within the IT department in support of the Digital Strategy and larger technology initiatives. Lead discovery-related projects, including facilitating stakeholder engagement through software selection and/or solution concept development, and evaluate/select purchased software solutions. Oversee software application or software development projects (e.g., E-Commerce, finance systems, ERP, Supply Chain & Logistics, system integration, web applications, data warehousing). Plan and direct multiple projects to meet business requirements by facilitating requirements processes, defining scope and goals; developing project plans, timelines, resource requirements, risk mitigation plans, and budgets; coordinating activities and stakeholder communications; and monitoring status. Manage project budgets in terms of human and capital/operating resources. Utilize Johnstones Project Management methodology and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, , Jira Software, Service Desk, Confluence). Manage project risks/escalation, issues/problems, and progress to ensure goals are achieved; assist with problem resolution or risk mitigation as needed. Provide stakeholders with current project status and issues information; deliver regular reporting to Project Sponsors, IT Portfolio Management, and the E-PMO. May lead efforts such as business transformation programs and ERP implementations; may oversee additional software discovery/selection projects and related initiatives. Qualifications & Skills
Bachelors degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university;
7+ years
of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Active or current certification in either
Agile
or
PMI
(PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP) preferred, but not required for this role; this position requires an active or current certification in either Agile or PMI. Experience managing large software development or software implementations, particularly larger net-new software implementations. Experience managing at least one software discovery or software selection project. Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with third party partners and customers; ability to apply project management skills (objectives, timelines, deadlines, planning, and monitoring) and problem-solving abilities. Ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries and build relationships; effective communication with diverse stakeholders, including leadership. Company Values & Benefits
