Project Engineer

Responsibilities
Manage procurement, purchasing, and supply chain coordination.
Track project financials and support budget adherence.
Coordinate logistics and vendor communication to ensure timely material delivery.
Assist with RFIs, submittals, and schedule tracking using tools like P6 or MS Project.
Interpret shop drawings and support construction sequencing.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
Support project managers and field teams with technical documentation and reporting.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, or equivalent field experience.
2–5 years of experience in construction or manufacturing environments.
Proficiency in Navisworks, Bluebeam, Excel, and scheduling tools (P6 or MS Project).
Strong understanding of construction processes, including steel, heavy equipment, and general sequencing.
Experience with purchasing coordination and material logistics.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working with a major mechanical subcontractor, primarily in HVAC systems.
Familiarity with financial oversight on projects, including budgeting, estimating, approving change orders, and cost tracking.
Accountable and teachable, with a proactive communication style and quick learning ability.
Technically proficient with a solid foundation in construction principles and tools.
Process‑oriented, enjoys solving coordination challenges.
Adaptable and resilient, thrives in fast‑paced environments and remains calm under pressure.
Efficiency‑focused, values progress and clarity over perfectionism.
Curious and innovative, passionate about improving construction methods.
Work Environment Work with one of the largest mechanical contractors in the Pacific Northwest, supporting large data‑center projects. The role is based in an office in Spokane.
Job Type & Location This is a permanent position based out of Seattle, WA, and also supports onsite work in Spokane.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 – $45.00/hr.
