Pay Range Base pay: $122,300.00/yr – $122,300.00/yr (based on skills and experience; speak with recruiter).

Duties & Responsibilities

Assignment Level I:

Professional work in psychology under general supervision.

Provide psychological evaluation, testing, and reporting for individuals and groups.

Consult with psychiatrists, social workers, judges, and other parties.

Participate in staff conferences and research activities.

Offer consultation to other city agencies.

Supervise interns, social workers, and paraprofessional mental health workers.

Testify in court or hearings.

Assignment Level II:

Supervise unlicensed psychologists and subordinate staff.

Evaluate and treat individuals for addictions, cognitive impairments, and neuropsychological disorders.

Administer therapy for atypical cases and coordinate training programs.

Conduct case conferences, seminars, and in‑service training.

Provide evaluations for family court assessments and criminal court pre‑sentencing.

Contribute to crisis response (24‑hour trauma team).

Assignment Level III:

Plan, organize, and supervise psychological service programs.

Advise on service delivery and program objectives.

Consult with administrative and medical staff on policies.

Supervise psychologists and staff, acting as a consultant.

Allocate staff resources and initiate grant proposals.

Develop internship training programs for graduate students.

Represent psychological services to professional organizations.

Minimum Qualifications

Valid NYSED psychologist license and registration, or obtain within six months of appointment.

Submission of licensing documentation (EPPP exam, Form 1, Form 2, Form 4, etc.).

Department Preferences

Clinical assessment, oral presentation, clinical writing.

Forensic psychological assessment experience.

Administration of psychological tests.

Research skills.

Communication and writing skills.

Time management.

Court experience.
