About The Role The firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Principal to join its growing leadership team. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse client base, oversee complex tax engagements, and help shape the continued growth of a respected, independent CPA firm.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and review corporate, partnership, and individual tax engagements
Plan and coordinate tax work with clients and internal teams
Conduct tax research and provide strategic recommendations
Maintain and strengthen client relationships through proactive communication
Lead, mentor, and develop team members across multiple engagements
Identify opportunities for process improvement and advisory services
Support firm leadership with business development and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
Active CPA license (required)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (Master’s in Tax preferred)
Minimum 7 years of public accounting experience focused in tax
Strong background reviewing and managing C‑Corp, S‑Corp, partnership, and individual returns
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Proficiency in ProSystem fx Tax, QuickBooks, Excel, and Microsoft Office
Preference for candidates from small or regional public accounting firms
