This is a full-time position for a Tax Senior for the Dallas office. Minimum of 5-10 years of recent public accounting firm experience required. Some of the primary duties of the position will include:
Preparation of personal, corporate, partnership and trust income tax returns of varying complexities.
Review tax information/workpapers provided by client.
Review adjustments and reconciliations to client provided general ledger for use in the tax return preparation process.
Prepare amended returns of various complexities.
Respond to tax notices, preparation of correspondence.
Performs tax research projects.
Answer accounting and tax questions by researching and interpreting data.
Continue updating tax knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
CPA certificate is preferred
Must have ability to effectively communicate and interact with clients and staff.
Familiarity with standard accounting software (QuickBooks strongly preferred). CCH Axcess used for income tax preparation.
We are looking for someone with recent public accounting experience, someone who works independently, is self-reliant with experience preparing tax returns in a public accounting environment, and that will need little or no training. You must have the ability to prioritize projects, manage workload effectively, have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
