IT Global Strategic Sourcing Manager Job Type:
12 Month Contract Location:

Job Summary The Sr. Manager / Manager, Global Strategic Sourcing – IT will be responsible for sourcing activities related to the procurement of information technology products and services, including Hardware, Software, Telecommunications, and Professional Services. This role will collaborate with multiple IT departments across the organization as well as external vendors. The successful candidate must be able to balance competing priorities across business units while driving holistic, enterprise-wide sourcing strategies that deliver value and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities (Percentages represent approximate time allocation)
Manage and strategically source a portfolio of IT products and services in accordance with established sourcing processes (20%)
Develop and issue RFQs/RFIs/RFPs for IT-related goods and services; evaluate suppliers and analyze bids based on cost, quality, and other factors (15%)
Partner and collaborate with leadership and operating companies to leverage scale, simplify the supplier base, reduce total cost of ownership, improve satisfaction, and create value in global sourcing (15%)
Engage stakeholders to gain in-depth knowledge of needs and leverage points for each area (10%)
Support the development and delivery of business analytics and reporting for targeted areas of responsibility (5%)
Perform project management duties, including overseeing quality delivery of assigned projects; collect, measure, report, and communicate progress to stakeholders (10%)
Build and maintain relationships with senior management to understand business strategies, annual goals, and economic challenges/opportunities (5%)
Support operating company sourcing teams in planning and executing strategic procurement needs (10%)
Apply market perspective to assess external factors (e.g., market drivers, macroeconomic conditions) and develop strategies to maximize opportunities (5%)
Deliver against material savings and “total cost of ownership” targets, focusing on managing internal demand and procurement behaviors (5%)
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s Degree required (IT-related fields such as Cloud, Cybersecurity, Network, Connectivity, or in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related disciplines)
Master’s Degree preferred
CPM or equivalent certification preferred
Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree with 7–10 years of relevant experience, or Master’s Degree with 5–10 years of relevant experience
Strong background in sourcing/purchasing within innovation-driven or complex environments
Experience in one or more IT disciplines (Cloud, Cybersecurity, Network, Hardware, Connectivity, etc.)
Skills & Competencies
Proven ability to create strategic supplier partnerships that drive competitive advantage
Expertise in conducting complex analyses and distilling insights into clear business recommendations
Strong facilitation, negotiation, and project management skills
Ability to effectively interface with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid understanding of IT ecosystems, procurement best practices, and technology-related contract terms and conditions
Hands-on experience with sourcing strategy creation and execution (e.g., 7-Step Sourcing methodology)
Familiarity with sourcing/procurement systems
