We’re hiring a Strategic HR Generalist for an onsite assignment at a Chicago safety-net hospital. This role owns recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations for the nursing population — supporting Nurse Managers and clinical leaders through every stage of the employee experience.

What You’ll Do

Manage end-to-end recruiting and onboarding for nursing roles

Coach nurse managers through employee relations, performance, and documentation

Lead retention strategies, stay interviews, and engagement programs

Partner with leadership on workforce planning and scheduling challenges

Conduct investigations and guide corrective action with fairness and clarity

Collaborate with analytics and training teams to deliver HR reporting and development programs

Identify process improvements to stabilize staffing and strengthen team culture

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Nursing, or related field required; HR certification preferred

5+ years of HR experience supporting nursing or healthcare teams

Proven ability to manage high-volume recruiting and complex ER situations

Calm under pressure, emotionally intelligent, and detail-oriented

Strategic HR Generalist, Allied Health/Professional Services We’re looking for a Strategic HR Generalist to serve onsite at a Chicago safety-net hospital. This role owns recruiting, onboarding, and employee relations for all non-clinical and allied departments, including administration, patient access, and operations.

What You’ll Do

Lead recruiting and onboarding for assigned departments

Partner with department heads to forecast staffing and talent needs

Handle employee relations issues from intake to resolution

Conduct investigations and guide corrective action with sound judgment

Maintain and update job descriptions and compensation alignment

Partner with HRIS/Benefits Analysts on data accuracy and reporting

Support performance management cycles and engagement initiatives

What You’ll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field required; SHRM-CP/PHR preferred

3–5 years of HR experience including recruiting and employee relations

Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills

Experience in healthcare, nonprofit, or high-volume HR environments preferred
