Our client is seeking a
DevOps Software Engineer
to support a large-scale, multi-tenant
Kubernetes-based High Performance Computing as a Service (HPCaaS)
platform in a dynamic Linux computing environment. You’ll be responsible for handling everything from installation and configuration to monitoring and maintenance — all while enjoying a collaborative team that values curiosity, innovation, and a good sense of humor.
What You'll Be Doing In this role, you'll be the behind-the-scenes powerhouse ensuring the health and performance of a mission-critical containerized environment. From scripting automation to resolving tech hiccups (and maybe even whispering sweet nothings to a misbehaving cluster), your work will directly impact national security initiatives.
You’ll contribute to the development and maintenance of cutting-edge systems involving:
Processing-intensive analytics
Novel algorithm development
Massive data manipulation
Real-time systems and business management platforms
Systems integrating data repositories, transport services, application and systems monitoring
Required Skills
Proficiency with
Linux CLI
Scripting with
Bash
and
Python
Development experience using
Java
in Linux environments
Experience working with
SQL
databases like
PostgreSQL
Experience with
NoSQL
databases such as
Elasticsearch
or
MongoDB
Proficiency with
Docker ,
containerd , or similar containerization tools
Experience with
Helm Charts
and
Kubernetes Operators
Familiarity with
Git
or other source control systems
Desired Skills
Familiarity with
Kubernetes
orchestration
Experience with the
Atlassian Suite
(Jira, Confluence)
Understanding of
CI/CD
practices and tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins)
A solid sense of humor and collaborative team spirit
Qualifications
Minimum
3 years
of experience as a Software Engineer
Bachelor’s degree in
Computer Science
or related field
