Our client is seeking a
Software Engineer
to support one of the most dynamic and mission‑critical programs within the U.S. Government. You’ll be working on cutting‑edge systems and applications—such as
GHOSTGEM ,
JEDIPOWER , and other evolving software solutions—alongside a high‑performing, collaborative team of developers, engineers, and mission partners.
You’ll have the opportunity to shape, build, and sustain powerful tools that support High Performance Computing (HPC) environments, large‑scale data processing, and advanced analytics platforms. The culture is fun, flexible, and focused—with room to grow personally and professionally.
What You’ll Be Doing In this role, you will:
Design, develop, and maintain enterprise software applications in a Linux environment
Integrate commercial and open‑source tools, packages, and libraries into mission systems
Sustain and troubleshoot existing applications (like GHOSTGEM and JEDIPOWER)
Contribute to architecture decisions and product evolution as new needs arise
Engage in collaboration with cross‑functional teams to enhance performance and functionality
Required Skills
Proficiency using the
Linux CLI
Scripting experience with
Bash
and
Python
Development experience with
Java
in a Linux environment
Hands‑on experience with the
Spring Framework , including Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Spring Integration
Experience with
MongoDB
or other NoSQL databases
Experience with
Docker
and
containerd
Familiarity with
Git
version control
Experience working with
Apache NiFi
for data processing
Familiar with messaging frameworks such as
RabbitMQ
and
Kafka
Experience with CI/CD tools and workflows ( GitLab CI ,
Jenkins , etc.)
Desired Skills
Familiarity with
Kubernetes
and container orchestration
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like
Ansible
Familiarity with
Atlassian tools
including Jira and Confluence
A good sense of humor and team camaraderie—because fun matters!
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in software development
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
Active TS/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph
