We're currently looking for a dynamic Executive Meeting Manager to help drive exceptional event experiences at one of the largest and most versatile properties near LAX. With over 55,000 sq. ft. of flexible meeting space, including two grand ballrooms and 40+ breakout rooms, Hilton LAX is a powerhouse for corporate meetings, social events, and international conferences. As an Executive Meeting Manager, you’ll be at the heart of it all—partnering with clients, customizing event solutions, and ensuring every detail exceeds expectations.

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:

Minimum of two (2) years of Sales or Event Management experience required

Strong sales, organizational and planning skills

Experience in a similar role with a proven track record

Highly professional presentations and oral and written communication skills

Ability to read and write in the English language to fully comprehend guest requests, memos, proposals, general correspondence, and similar written materials.

Ability to manage time and resources, effectively and productively.

It would be helpful to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

Previous experience in full-service hotels or upscale restaurants and event venues with a high volume of events.

Proficiency in Delphi FDC

Hourly rate of $39.42

What will I be doing? The Executive Meeting Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of small corporate and social groups, meetings, conferences, and special events at the hotel (10-44 group rooms on peak or as determined by hotel’s business plan). This includes working closely with clients to plan, organize, and execute all of their group room block and event meeting requirements are met to the highest standard. The ideal candidate is an experienced sales and event professional with exceptional organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Solicit, negotiate and generate contracted revenues from potential clients that meet criteria established in the hotel business plan to achieve assigned quarterly revenue goals.

Employ revenue management techniques to present proposals.

Prepare and present Requests for Proposals so that both client and hotel receive good value.

Prospects for new business using a wide variety of methods including phone calls, outside sales calls, attending community functions, internet prospecting, supplier partnerships, trade journals, etc.

Work with the sales team to convert leads into successful bookings, ensuring maximum revenue generation for the hotel.

Prepare and distribute event contracts, ensuring all details and terms are clearly defined.

Serve as the main point of contact for all clients booking meetings and corporate events with Food/Beverage.

Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, expectations, and objectives, and provide customized solutions to ensure their success.

Provide expert advice and guidance on event planning, meeting space options, audio-visual requirements, catering, and logistics.

Oversee the execution of all meetings and events with Food/Beverage from pre-arrival through post-event follow-up.

Coordinate with internal departments, including catering, housekeeping and front desk to ensure all client specifications are met.

Ensure a timely and efficient setup of meeting rooms, including seating arrangements, technology, and special requests.

Actively promote and upsell additional hotel services and amenities (e.g., catering options, meeting packages, A/V equipment, etc.).

Maintain constant communication with clients before, during, and after events to ensure satisfaction and address any last-minute changes or issues.

Proactively troubleshoot and resolve any concerns related to event logistics, service, or equipment.

Ensure accurate and timely billing for all meetings and events.

Maintain organized records of client communications, event details, and contracts.

Develop detailed event itineraries and timelines to ensure smooth operations for each meeting or event.

Gather client feedback to assess the success of events and identify areas for improvement.

Follow up with clients after events to ensure their satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
