About the role
As a SAP BASIS Technical Architect, you will make an impact by defining and implementing SAP system architecture for RISE deployments and leading critical technical initiatives. You will be a valued member of the SAP Delivery team and work collaboratively with SAP Cloud Architect Advisors (CAA), Client Delivery Managers (CDM), and customer stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
Define and implement SAP system architecture for RISE deployments (Greenfield, Brownfield, Hybrid).
Lead ECC to S/4 Conversions, OS/DB migrations, and cloud transitions.
Design high-availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies, including RPO/RTO planning.
Oversee SAP Basis administration, including installations, upgrades, performance tuning, and patching.
Configure and manage SAP BTP sub-accounts, Cloud Connector, and hybrid integrations with S/4HANA, BW, SuccessFactors, and Snowflake.
Work model Remote with travel for milestones based in the US
What you need to have to be considered
Extensive experience in SAP Basis administration and architecture design.
Proven track record in ECC to S/4 conversions and OS/DB migrations.
Strong knowledge of HA/DR strategies and RPO/RTO planning.
Experience with SAP BTP, Cloud Connector, and hybrid integrations.
Expertise in system security, user authorization, and compliance.
These will help you stand out
SAP experience within the Utilities industry
Experience with AI services deployment (SAP Datasphere, SAP AI Core, Joule Studio).
Knowledge of audit readiness and disaster recovery documentation.
Ability to lead cross-functional teams and strategic workshops.
Strong communication and reporting skills to senior leadership.
Hands-on experience with performance tuning and proactive issue resolution.
Salary and Other Compensation This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
