Clinical Applications Supervisor 2 - Client Services - FT - Day Incumbent consults with departments to determine their computing needs related to HAIS services specific to Perioperative and Biomedical Device Integration, including coordination, planning, and scheduling of work assignments and training. Coordinates all projects with department heads and project leads. Provides assistance on a variety of computing issues to faculty, staff, and students on an individual and/or group level. Responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures to support services. Participates in the evaluation, development, and documentation of hardware and software standards for the Medical Center. Supervises a group of HAIS unit employees.

Responsibilities

Consult with departments to determine their computing needs related to HAIS services for Perioperative and Biomedical Device Integration.

Coordinate, plan, and schedule work assignments and training.

Coordinate all projects with department heads and project leads.

Provide assistance on computing issues to faculty, staff, and students individually or in groups.

Develop and implement policies and procedures to support services.

Participate in evaluation, development, and documentation of hardware and software standards for the Medical Center.

Supervise a group of HAIS unit employees.

Required Qualifications

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and possible overtime during go‑lives.

Working knowledge of wireless network configurations and limitations in a clinical environment.

Demonstrated supervisory skills.

Understanding of networking terminologies.

Extensive experience with Windows Operating Systems.

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across multiple departments, including IT and external vendors/customers.

Ability to balance multiple projects and competing priorities.

Demonstrated experience completing projects and acting as a project manager/lead.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Ability to actively seek and troubleshoot problems and issues.

Prior experience supporting and configuring biomedical devices and interfacing to documentation systems such as Allscripts, Epic, or Cerner.

Knowledge of operating system internals, file systems, hardware functions, and how hardware and software components work together.

Working knowledge of integration middleware such as Capsule, DeviceConX, and Corepoint.

Minimum two years experience with Clinical Informatics and Biomedical Device Integration.

Experience with various deployment systems such as Microsoft SCCM.

Ability to apply logical troubleshooting, documentation, and analysis techniques for problem and incident resolution.

Willingness to participate in on‑call duties extending outside normal business hours.

Knowledge of ITIL and best practices as they relate to the healthcare environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated supervisory experience in an IS department.

Experience assisting end users in perioperative/anesthesia/clinical environments with device integration or at‑the‑shoulder support.

Knowledge and understanding of ServiceNow as an ITIL platform.

Epic certification in OpTime, Anesthesia, Bridges, or EpicCare.

Experience supervising a 24/7 team in a high‑paced environment.
