Responsibilities
Oversee and develop teams within the Financial Crimes practice, focusing on anti‑money laundering (AML) and sanctions compliance.
Lead diverse teams on complex financial crimes advisory engagements—including AML, sanctions, fraud assessments, gap analyses, and remediation—delivering high‑quality deliverables in a fast‑paced environment.
Execute client solutions that meet regulatory requirements, enhance operational efficiency, and mitigate financial crime risks.
Drive high‑quality work products, monitor project progress, manage risks, and communicate effectively with key client stakeholders and firm leadership.
Consult with financial crimes personnel across financial services organizations to understand challenges and offer tailored solutions.
Maintain current industry issues, trends, and emerging regulatory guidance; apply this knowledge to go‑to‑market initiatives and proposals.
Develop and mentor high‑performing teams specializing in financial crimes, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG’s respectful and courteous work environment.
Qualifications
Minimum five years of recent experience in financial crimes compliance, AML, sanctions, fraud prevention, or related areas, including a leadership role.
Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA, JD) and/or certifications (CAMS, CFE) preferred.
Strong understanding of common money‑laundering schemes, the AML and sanctions legal and regulatory environment, industry best practices, and emerging trends including intelligent automation, cryptocurrencies, and digital banking concepts.
Experience examining, assessing, and enhancing aspects of a financial crime compliance program (e.g., internal audits, compliance testing reviews, remediation of deficiencies).
Excellent interpersonal, analytical, presentation, writing, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
