NC Department of Adult Correction Agency Adult Correction Division Operations Job Classification Title Correctional Programs Supervisor (S) Position Number 60072474 Grade NC08 Description Of Work Salary Range: $37,782 - $66,120 Responsibilities Functioning as assistant to the Programs Director I of a minimum custody institution offering various program services. Directing a major program in an area or on a statewide basis. The primary programs’ areas are offender classification, correctional programs (adult basic education, work release, incentive wage, recreation, religion, volunteer programs, and home leave), and supportive counseling. Supervising subordinate personnel who are responsible for the implementation, development, and maintenance of programs daily. Serving in a custody role during emergencies such as disturbances and escapes. Coordinating programs with custody staff. Completing special projects and/or other duties as assigned by the Programs Director, Associate Warden, and/or Warden. Management Preferences Documented knowledge of supportive counseling techniques. Documented knowledge of services available to individuals from the community and other public and private programs. Necessary Special Qualifications MUST be eligible for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission. About Sanford Correctional Center Sanford Correctional Center is located in Sanford, North Carolina and houses up to 298 male offenders in a minimum custody facility. Minimum Education And Experience Bachelor’s degree in a human services or criminal justice field from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in corrections or related work Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
