We are seeking a highly motivated and outgoing Inside Parts Sales Representative to join our Aftermarket team. This individual will be responsible for managing assigned customer accounts, preparing quotes, and ensuring timely delivery of parts. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where proactive communication and follow-up are critical to success.

This position will require occasional travel (less than 20%) to support customer relationships or site visits and will participate in a rotating on-call schedule with the rest of the team to ensure after-hours customer support is maintained.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, managing all aftermarket part sales inquiries.

Generate accurate quotes in a timely manner.

Process orders and coordinate with internal teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Proactively follow up on quotes and orders to maintain customer satisfaction and resolve any issues quickly.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication.

Track order status, backorders, and shipping schedules to keep customers informed.

Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, and procurement teams to resolve delays or inventory concerns.

Maintain CRM systems and records of customer interactions, quotes, and orders.

Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling parts based on customer needs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a technical field is a plus.

2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or aftermarket parts sales.

Experience working with ERP systems for order entry, quoting, and inventory management.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build lasting customer relationships.

Demonstrated ability to follow up proactively and manage multiple orders and tasks simultaneously.

Basic technical/mechanical aptitude to understand part numbers, drawings, or equipment configurations.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook.

Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% and participate in an after-hours on-call rotation.

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or aftermarket parts sales.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills; must be outgoing and customer-focused.

Proven ability to follow up and follow through on orders and customer requests.

High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Experience with ERP and CRM systems a plus.

Basic technical/mechanical understanding of equipment and parts (preferred but not required).

ERP System Proficiency – Ability to navigate and utilize ERP systems for order entry, quoting, inventory checks, and tracking shipments.

Product and Part Identification – Basic mechanical or technical aptitude to understand part catalogs, equipment BOMs, and service manuals.

Data Accuracy & Entry – High accuracy in data entry related to quotes, purchase orders, and shipping details.

Inventory & Logistics Coordination – Understanding of inventory levels, lead times, and shipping methods.

Technical Communication – Ability to communicate technical product information clearly to customers and internal teams.

Physical Requirements / Working Conditions

Occasionally required to sit, stand, or walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk, hear, and smell.

May occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
