Responsibilities

Evaluates all domestic and international applications for graduate admission to the University, including readmission and non-degree seeking applicants, and determines alignment with admission policies.

Assesses accreditation of foreign academic institutions, interprets varied grading systems, converts them to U.S. equivalencies, and calculates grade point averages.

Notifies applicants of incomplete applications via email and phone.

Maintains extensive contact via email, phone, and personal communication with other FSU departments, faculty members, departmental representatives, prospective students, officials from other colleges and universities, and testing agencies such as ETS.

Trains and assists in supervising employees, including those not directly reporting to this position.

Supports business processes related to application processing, Slate payment processing, and application management and reporting; generates queries, reports, and other Slate and Campus Solutions processes to process applications.

Qualifications Minimum:

Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience; or a high school diploma/equivalent and five years of experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Slate.

High attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.

Ability to prioritize, organize, and perform multiple assignments simultaneously.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective working relationships.

Proficiency in meeting project deadlines.

Excellent communication skills via telephone and email.

Energetic, detail‑oriented candidates with a strong sense of initiative.

Salary The anticipated starting salary for this position is $44,056.80, commensurate with education and experience.
