Senior Systems and Storage Administrator
TechTalent Solutions LLC is seeking a highly skilled systems and storage administrator to manage Linux, storage, backup, monitoring, DNS, and cross‑functional projects in an enterprise environment.
Responsibilities Linux System Administration
Perform Red Hat Enterprise Linux system builds, configuration, and performance tuning.
Manage OS patching, performance troubleshooting, and hardware maintenance (e.g., drive replacement, RAM installation, network configuration).
Storage Administration
Administer DellEMC Isilon, Unity, and NetApp storage systems, including creating and maintaining Windows and Linux file shares.
Manage storage provisioning, upgrades, and performance monitoring.
Perform Brocade SAN switch maintenance, including zoning configuration and firmware upgrades.
Backup and Recovery
Administer Rubrik backup appliances, manage configuration, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
Support enterprise backup solutions to ensure data integrity and recovery capabilities.
Monitoring and DNS Management
Manage and enhance monitoring using the Nagios platform.
Administer DNS, creating, modifying, and deleting records as needed.
Collaboration and Project Work
Work cross‑functionally with infrastructure, application, and security teams.
Participate in infrastructure improvement initiatives and project deployments.
Preferred / Additional Skills
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) for hybrid or migration projects.
Knowledge of database administration, architecture, and security (Oracle, MS SQL, Vertica).
Broader experience in SAN/NAS storage administration, including VAST and DellEMC ecosystems.
Familiarity with additional backup tools such as Veeam and Backblaze.
Project management experience and ability to lead or support infrastructure projects.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of experience in systems and storage administration in an enterprise environment.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer, DellEMC Specialist, or Brocade Certified Professional) are highly desirable.
