Job Description and Duties Under the general supervision of the Business Services Manager (Staff Services Manager I), incumbents perform complex professional level administrative work that pertains to District Procurement and Property Control Analyst. Incumbent serves as the District Procurement Analyst/Property Control Officer and ensures all necessary procurement methods, policies and procedures are adhered to. The incumbent ensures all state property is tagged and inventoried as per established guidelines.
Working Conditions The position is located at 500 S. Main St., Bishop CA 93514, Inyo County. The incumbent primarily works at the District 9 Office in a climate‑controlled environment under artificial lighting. Frequent travel within the District is required to conduct on‑site property inventories; when conducting on‑site inventories, the incumbent may be subject to dust, dirt, varying temperatures, and uneven walking surfaces. Occasional travel within the State may be required to attend various meetings, training, conferences or seminars. The position may be eligible for telework; the amount of telework is at the discretion of the Department and based on Caltrans’s evolving telework policy. Employees are expected to be able to report to their worksites with minimum notification if an urgent need arises. The selected candidate will be required to commute to headed headquarters as needed. Business travel may be required, and reimbursement considers an employee’s designated headquarters location, primary residence, and may be subject to CalHR regulations or applicable bargaining unit contract provisions. All commute expenses to the headquartered location will be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
