YOUR ROLE IN CREATING GERONIMOMENTS In this role, you’ll be a key part of our team, ensuring that every guest leaves with a lasting impression. Your voice matters here—use it to build the future, make an impact, and continuously improve the guest experience.

As the Banquet Manager, you will oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives during banquet functions, employee retention, member/guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.

WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE

Helps clients arrange banquet functions, luncheons, meetings, weddings, dances, golf events, and other social events; obtains pertinent information needed for the function planning.

Provides guest tours if needed.

Transmits necessary information to the staff; arranges for printing of special menus, procuring of decorations/displays and other special requests.

Inspects finished set for events, is present to oversee the greeting and serving of guests.

Checks function sheets against actual room set-up; oversees personnel scheduling for special functions and supervises service personnel.

Oversees scheduling of banquet service employees.

Handles client complaints and takes necessary action to rectify the situation.

Helps guests with parking, entertainment, decorations, audio/visual and any other requirements integral to the events.

Handles the payments for all events in Jonas & Tripleseat.

Critiques functions to determine future needs and to implement necessary changes for increased quality.

Attends management meetings to review policies and procedures, upcoming business and to continually develop quality and image of banquet and catering functions.

Tracks new products and trends in food service applicable to the club.

Ensures the security of valuables (club, guest’s and member’s property) during catered events.

Assumes responsibility of manager on duty (MOD) when necessary.

Ensures that proper housekeeping and energy conservation procedures are always followed.

Plans professional development and training activities for subordinate staff.

REQUIREMENTS WHAT IT TAKES TO SUCCEED EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING

One year or more banquet management work history preferred.

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Must be 21 years or older.

Some level of management skills desired.

Refined verbal and written communication.

Be able to keep up with a fast-paced environment.

Be able to carry a tray to shoulder weighing up to 30 lbs without assistance.

Stand and/or walk entire shift.

Must be available nights and weekends.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENT

U.S. Work Authorization (required).
