A well-established civil litigation firm is seeking a Litigation Attorney - Commercial & Insurance with at least five years of experience to join its Houston office. The firm represents a wide range of clients in complex commercial disputes, insurance coverage matters, and general civil litigation. As a Litigation Attorney - Commercial & Insurance, you will play a key role in managing sophisticated cases from inception through trial, while working closely with clients and colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes. Partner-level attorneys are encouraged to apply. A portable book of business is not required, but business development experience is always welcome. The Litigation Attorney - Commercial & Insurance will be part of a respected team known for its quality work and strong reputation across Texas.
Responsibilities
Handle all phases of litigation, from case assessment through trial and appeal
Manage client communications, strategy development, and case progress
Draft and argue motions, attend hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials
Provide counsel on insurance coverage, defense, and risk management issues
Collaborate with experienced partners and associates in a team-oriented environment
Qualifications
J.D. from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing with the Texas Bar
Minimum five years of experience in commercial litigation and/or insurance law
Strong analytical, research, and writing skills
Proven ability to manage cases independently and efficiently
