Digital Marketing Associate - O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law

Job Overview The O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law was established in 2007 to respond to the need for innovative solutions to the most pressing global health concerns. The institute brings together experts from public health and law, reflecting the importance of public and private law in health policy analysis. It is housed at Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., drawing on Georgetown's intellectual resources, including the School of Nursing and Health Studies, the School of Medicine, the McCourt School of Public Policy, and the Kennedy Institute of Ethics.
Duties The Digital Marketing Associate will create and implement data‑driven strategies for social media marketing campaigns that increase engagement and expand audience reach. As the institute’s social media expert and web content lead, the associate will manage all day‑to‑day social media activities, including analytics and reporting. Additional duties include but are not limited to:
Develop and execute social media content calendars across platforms.
Maintain and update the institute’s website.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Work Interactions The role reports to the Director of Communications and regularly engages with members of the O'Neill Institute’s staff and leadership.
Requirements and Qualifications
B.A. degree in communications, journalism, marketing, or a related field.
3‑5 years of experience in social media and digital marketing, ideally with a nonprofit or academic institution background.
Advanced knowledge of popular social media platforms, including Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Reddit, and YouTube.
Strong experience with Canva and social media management tools.
Experience with WordPress and Google Analytics.
Knowledge of SEO and optimization tools.
Familiarity with Google Ads, Facebook Ad Manager, LinkedIn ads, Reddit ads, and display advertising.
Ability to stay current with social media and digital marketing trends.
Soft Skill Requirements
Self‑starter capable of working with minimal supervision.
Superior written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organized and self‑motivated.
Proven project management and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Capacity to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities.
Work Mode Designation This position is designated as Hybrid 3 Days. Work mode designations are regularly reviewed to meet the University’s evolving needs.
Pay Range $47,586.00 – $87,558.13. Compensation is determined by qualifications, experience, education, skills, certifications, and the University's business needs.
