Staff Accountant – Venture Capital Management Company | Boston, MA (Hybrid)

leading venture capital management firm . The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining the financial operations of the management company, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance across all accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone with a solid accounting foundation who is eager to grow in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the management company’s day‑to‑day accounting operations
Prepare and process
accounts receivable transactions , ensuring timely and accurate billing and collections
Assist with
treasury operations , including cash management and bank reconciliations
Review and process
employee expense reports
and vendor invoices
Participate in month‑end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
Maintain organized financial records and support internal and external audit processes
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve accounting processes and controls
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in
Accounting or Finance
required
1–3 years of relevant accounting experience , preferably in a management company, investment firm, or public accounting environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
