General Manager 3 – Apria General Manager (GM) is responsible for supporting sales efforts and will visit with HVT‑high value customers and administration and efficient daily operation of the branch office, including operations, supporting sales through service levels, service, and safety in accordance with Apria’s objectives. This role has full P&L responsibility for their profit centers, including both revenue and operating income. In addition, the GM will communicate Apria values, strategies, and objectives, while assigning accountabilities, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Anticipated salary range: $90,000‑$120,000 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, education, and location.

Responsibilities

Full P&L responsibility for profit center(s) including revenue and operating income.

Collaborate with senior management to develop, review, update, and implement business strategic planning, including sales and financial performance.

Execute sales strategy and growth initiatives by personally building and maintaining relationships with key customers, helping sales team develop impactful territory plans and strategies, and assisting the sales staff to achieve results.

Achieve key focus product starts budget and cash collections.

Utilize technology and tools to support and drive sales growth through exceptional service levels and optimize performance at the branch.

Monitor staffing levels, expenditures, asset equipment utilization and inventory levels to ensure maximum profit margins.

Ensure effective operation and management of all functional areas of the branch such as customer service, collections, clinical, distribution, and supporting sales.

Partner with Managed Care counterpart to understand provider networks and grow market share.

Monitor key performance indicators and implement corrective measures.

Ensure operational procedures comply with federal, state, local, and Joint Commission requirements.

Provide a safe and healthful work environment and prevent injuries by leading the Safety & Risk Management program for the branch.

Perform other duties as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Hire, coach, develop, and manage performance of subordinate staff.

Retain sales and branch personnel through onboarding, coaching, mentoring, and development.

Qualifications Education and Experience

Four‑year college degree or equivalent experience required.

At least five years related experience required.

Must reside within an area of primary responsibility.

Licensed Respiratory Therapist.

Bi‑lingual (reading, writing, verbal).

Physical Demands

Requires constant sitting with occasional and walking.

Requires the use of hands to write, use computers, and manipulate papers constantly.

Constant talking and hearing.

Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.

Work Environment

Travel up to 10% of the time.
