L3 Network Engineer (Server & Storage Upgrades)
Location: Phoenix & Scottsdale, Arizona (Onsite and Remote Support)

Engineer Level: L3 (Senior-Level Technical Support)
Overview We are seeking an experienced L3 Network Engineer to lead and execute server and storage upgrade activities for Iron Mountain’s Infrastructure refresh project across two Arizona sites. The engineer will be responsible for performing prework validation, hardware replacement (HBA/CNA), host additions, SAN and storage configuration, and firmware upgrades for HPE OneView and Brocade switches. The ideal candidate should have hands‑on expertise in enterprise virtualization and storage environments with strong troubleshooting and implementation skills.
Responsibilities
Perform remote pre‑checks and validation for storage, SAN, and vCenter environments.
Add and configure new ESXi hosts within HPE Synergy chassis.
Replace and configure HBA and CNA adapters on existing servers.
Perform SAN zoning and LUN mapping using Brocade switches and HPE Nimble/Alletra storage.
Validate vMotion, multipathing, and overall ESXi cluster functionality post‑upgrade.
Execute HPE OneView and Brocade firmware upgrades after hours as required.
Document configurations, testing, and validation results for project closure.
Collaborate with client technical teams for access, dependencies, and issue resolution.
Ensure all work is completed within defined timelines and quality standards.
Required Skills and Experience
8+ years of hands‑on experience in enterprise server and storage administration.
Strong knowledge of VMware vCenter and ESXi environments (vMotion, DRS, multipathing).
Experience with HPE Synergy, HPE OneView, and related Network management tools.
Proficiency in Brocade SAN switch configuration, zoning, and firmware management.
Experience with HPE Nimble and Alletra storage arrays or similar enterprise storage platforms.
Good understanding of network connectivity, vSwitch configurations, and vmkernel interfaces.
Ability to perform system upgrades and migrations in production environments with minimal downtime.
Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Availability for after‑hours and weekend maintenance windows as required.
CCNP certified is must.
