Position Overview The National Program Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving the growth of our insurance program offerings by identifying new business opportunities, fostering relationships, and building strategic partnerships. This role demands a proactive approach to market research, client engagement, and program innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Market Research:
Conduct analysis of market trends and competitor activities to uncover potential business opportunities and growth areas within the insurance program sector.
Relationship Building:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with MGAs and brokers to promote our insurance programs and drive sales.
Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with internal teams to develop and execute strategic business development plans that align with company objectives.
Proposal Development:
Craft and present compelling proposals and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the value of our insurance programs.
Negotiation:
Lead negotiations with potential partners and clients to secure favorable terms and close deals that strengthen our program offerings.
Collaboration:
Coordinate with underwriting, marketing, and product development teams to ensure program alignment and effective communication.
Performance Tracking:
Monitor and report on sales performance, adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve or surpass targets.
Networking:
Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to promote our programs and uncover new business opportunities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field.
At least 10 years of experience in business development or sales within the insurance industry.
In-depth knowledge of insurance products, particularly program offerings and underwriting processes.
Proven track record of meeting sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation Salary is competitive and based on experience. The role includes a comprehensive incentive program.
