Job Summary

We are a small established CPA / law firm located in Midtown Oklahoma City seeking a full-time Senior Tax Associate. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: (1) preparation of tax returns (2) creating worksheet / exhibits for business valuations and or litigation matters (3) bookkeeping (4) correspondence with clients and (5) correspondence with the IRS and state taxing authorities.

Proficiency in Excel, Word, QuickBooks Lacerte and UltraTax CS are preferred. We are happy to train assuming you are willing to learn. CPA / EA designation is a huge plus but not required.

Pay is competitive, flexible and up for discussion during the interview process. Pay is adjusted annually or sooner based upon experience, projects completed and more.

Responsibilities

Prepare and file federal, state and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.

Review financial documents to ensure accuracy and completeness of information.

Prepare exhibits and reports for litigation support or business valuation cases.

Conduct thorough account analysis to identify potential deductions and credits.

Assist clients in understanding their tax obligations and provide guidance on financial planning strategies.

Stay updated on changes in tax laws, regulations and financial auditing practices.

Collaborate with clients to gather necessary documentation and clarify any discrepancies.

Maintain confidentiality of client information while adhering to ethical standards.

Qualifications

Proven experience as a Tax Preparer or similar role in accounting or finance.

Strong understanding of corporate accounting.

Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in account analysis.

Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to clients.

Proficient in using tax preparation software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Relevant certifications (e.g. CPA or EA) are a plus but not required.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
