As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in the FP&A team by delivering comprehensive weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports and analyses that identify top issues and opportunities for the company to act upon. You will partner with cross‑functional teams across the organization (Business Operations, Brand Marketing, Accounting, Worldwide Operations) focusing on P&L line items, analyzing trends, and driving actions that mitigate risks or maximize outcomes. The analyst reports directly to the Director of Finance and interfaces with the EVP of Finance and CFO.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate cross‑functionally to drive financial success: partner with business unit leaders to support actions that achieve or exceed the annual financial plan.
P&L ownership and analysis: own and monitor key P&L line items, review results bi‑weekly, identify variances and opportunities, and work with stakeholders to investigate anomalies.
Forecasting and executive reporting: prepare and deliver monthly forecast updates, produce executive summary reports, provide bridge analyses to prior forecasts and annual plan.
Actuals versus Forecast reconciliation: partner with Accounting to reconcile actual results versus forecast, ensuring variances are accurately quantified.
Insights for leadership: develop and provide regular reporting and visibility into key metrics for major P&L line items, ensuring senior leadership understands drivers of performance.
Annual planning & strategy: participate in the annual budgeting and strategic planning processes, contributing analysis and insights that help set financial targets and align resource allocation.
Ad‑hoc analysis: conduct ad‑hoc financial analysis of P&L changes and variances as needed, delivering insights that support timely decision‑making.
Qualifications
5–10 years of finance experience; experience in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis a plus.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Strong team player and independent contributor thriving in fast‑paced environments.
Advanced Excel proficiency; experience with Essbase and Tableau a plus.
Strong analytical and written communication skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables.
Curiosity and strong critical thinking skills.
Prior cross‑functional collaboration and relationship building across diverse teams.
Benefits Base salary range:
$120,000 – $130,000 annually for employees based in Boston, MA.
