5G RF Optimization Engineer (Nokia) - Remote

Note:

The candidate must be a

U.S. Citizen, Green Card holder, or EAD holder.

Only those with

Nokia 5G-SA/NSA optimization

experience within the last three years will be shortlisted for this position. Experience with

T‑Mobile

is preferred.

Experience:

This role requires recent hands‑on experience in

Nokia 5G SA/NSA

RF Optimization , with strong expertise in

Nokia 5G VoNR.

The candidate should have 3+ years experience in

Nokia 5G-SA/NSA KPI Optimization, counters, features and parameters.

Responsibilities:

3+ years in Radio Network Optimization experience of 5G-SA/NSA Nokia parameters, KPI, counters. Proven experience in reviewing and analyzing 5G-SA/NSA parametric network data.

Monitor & Optimize Daily/Weekly/Monthly Post‑integration 5G SA/NSA & LTE KPIs i.e. Accessibility (RRC setup fail & VoNR & Data Setup Fail), Retainability (RRC drop , VoNR & Data drop) and Mobility (HO Fail & HO latency) by parametric optimization.

Perform

5G Parameter Audit

and correlate the changes with any KPIs behavioral change.

Analyzing 5G-SA/NSA Layer 3 messages, providing recommendations, and troubleshooting

Nokia 5G-SA/NSA parameter

changes to improve network performance including coverage, capacity, throughput.

Extensive experience in Nokia specific tools such as

NetAct, MantaRay NM, CM Editor & WebEM .

Deep troubleshooting of call flows

(EMIL and TrueCall) .

Perform feature trials for 5G SA/NSA (throughput, coverage, load balancing, handover).

Post Process Drive test data using tools such as

Actix/Actix‑One, XCAL, TEMS Investigation/Pocket.

Use Visualization tools like

Tableau and/or Power BI

for 5G KPI analytics.

Requirements:

Bachelors in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or Computer Science, with a minimum of 8 years in RF engineering including at least 3 recent years in 5G-SA/NSA radio network optimization of Nokia equipment.

Nokia Equipment knowledge - RRU, BBU, Antennas.

Knowledge of

TMO tools One-Data, Magenta, IMNOS .

Ability to analyze

X2, S1 signaling, syslogs, and TTI traces

for quick troubleshooting.
