Purpose of Role The Senior Accountant of Fixed Assets is a highly motivated and experienced accounting professional that thrives in a fast‑paced dynamic environment. This role plays a key part in our Americas and Corporate accounting organization, providing support, analysis and partnership throughout the month‑end process and on an ad‑hoc basis. The responsibilities include supporting leadership by leaning into the team’s goals and objectives, providing accounting support to the business over the company’s capital investments, driving process improvements over the capital acquisition process, understanding and adhering to our fixed‑assets policy, and owning close‑related responsibilities such as relevant balance‑sheet reconciliations and journal entries to meet internal and external reporting deadlines. The role also ensures compliance with internal controls over the close and internal reporting process and meets month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end reporting and audit deadlines, delivering high‑quality results. This position reports to the Sr Manager of Accounting.

Your Impact

Support the Americas and Corporate accounting close and reporting process, including preparing journal entries, monthly depreciation/amortization, balance‑sheet reconciliations and rollforwards for fixed assets, IT Prepaids, and other key accounting areas.

Ensure proper classification of capital expenditures for CIP and PPE accounts.

Prepare financial schedules and reporting to assist in variance analysis reviews for close meetings.

Prepare key monthly and quarter‑end controls.

Support the Sr Manager of Accounting over the proper handling of new capital projects, invoice coding, useful lives, contract reviews and project management.

Manage and own the disposal of fixed assets that are no longer in use, including recording gains or losses on disposal.

Assist the Sr Manager of Accounting in developing and implementing robust internal accounting controls, including detailed standard operating procedures for all accounting activities.

Support the coordination of the annual external audit and internal controls by providing documentation, explanations and support as needed.

Support management in the implementation of accounting system improvements and transformation efforts.

Collaborate across regions, departments and business partners such as SEC reporting, IT, FP&A, Procurement and Tax regarding fixed assets matters.

Qualifications

Ability to multi‑task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast‑paced environment.

Ability to act and operate independently to accomplish objectives and meet deadlines.

Outstanding knowledge and application of US GAAP.

Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to effectively present to and engage with a wide range of internal and external audiences.

Strong analytical skills coupled with good decision‑making skills.

Excellent working knowledge of financial statements and good understanding of tools to benchmark disclosure practices.

Education And/Or Experience

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting.

Accounting systems experience (SAP and Blackline preferred).

Experience with Fixed Assets.

Strong expert‑level Excel modeling skills.

3+ years of relevant experience in large multinational public companies preferred.

CPA license preferred.

Public accounting and/or public company experience preferred.

Workplace Location This individual must reside within commuting distance of our Baltimore, MD headquarters office.

Work Schedule This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days per week in‑office.

Base Compensation $74,409.60 – $93,012.00 USD. Most new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time. Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual’s relevant knowledge, skills and experience for the position.
