For over 125 years, Catholic Charities Brooklyn and Queens has been providing quality social services to the neighborhoods of Brooklyn and Queens and currently offers 160-plus programs and services for children, youth, adults, seniors, and those struggling with mental illness. The CRED workforce initiative provides a vital support to young adults ages 18 to 40. The program aims to serve as a pathway to help unemployed, underemployed, or individuals impacted by community violence to gain a long-term employment and economic stability. Through CRED, participants engage in work readiness training, sector-based occupational training with a focus on construction and healthcare career pathways. The program integrates wraparound supportive services, including case management, mental health counseling, academic support, and job placement assistance, to ensure participants can fully engage and remain successful throughout their training and transition into full-time employment. STATEMENT OF THE JOB

Under the supervision of the Director of Project Management, and within the Catholic Charities Frame of an Integrated Service Delivery philosophy of family centered, strength-focused, and hope engendering practice, the Program Manager will supervise the day-to-day operations of the program including outreach, orientation, enrollment, mental health counseling, job training, work readiness services, internships, job placements, follow-up and wrap around services. Maintain program compliance in meeting DYCD goals and milestones for participant progress. Responsible for the implementation of the CRED program in accordance with DYCD goals, requirements, and all applicable agency corporate compliance, federal, state, and city regulations. Recruit, select and orient staff qualified to fulfill program goals. Provide supervision and oversight in the outreach, enrollment and orientation of participants. Provide supervision and oversight in the delivery of work readiness training (prior to and/or during the job training), including, but not limited to job etiquette, professional communication in the workplace, personal well-being, ethics, labor market knowledge, job search techniques, and positive work habits, attitudes, and behaviors. Provide supervision and oversight in the implementation of securing and maintenance of high-quality internships including orientation and compliance with program guidelines. Provide supervision and oversight in the provision of job training in designated sectors of Construction and Health (PCT, CNA) for participants to ensure their success in their internships and job placements. Responsible to monitor and approve all entries of participant data and progress into the DYCD funding source, CCNS, and relevant program databases. Supervise and lead implementation of individual service plans which incorporate an in-depth and ongoing assessment of participant needs for support services both during the program and in the 3-month follow-up period. Supervise the provision of mental health counseling services including individual and group sessions and education which address trauma, ongoing social emotional learning, problem solving, communication and other needs. Responsible to oversee the subcontractor compliance (including review and approval of their invoices) with contracted goals, delivery of job training meeting participants needs and review and approval of weekly subcontractor and internship partners reports including participant data and attendance. Review and approve subcontractor invoices based on compliance in meeting stated goals. QUALIFICATIONS:

A Master’s degree with 3 years of supervisory experience or BA with 5 years of experience. Experience working with target population in communities impacted by violence. Experience in supervising staff and working with at-risk individuals and families. Must be available to work in person 5 days a week; evening and weekend hours may be necessary. Must be able to travel between numerous sites within the five boroughs. Must be able to climb stairs if necessary. Able to work evenings and weekends as needed. BENEFITS:
