Kit Verification Specialist Level II
Pay Range
$20.00/hr - $23.00/hr
Job Summary The Kit Verification Specialist Level II is responsible for ensuring kits for production jobs are complete and accurate.
Responsibilities
Relies on IMS’ instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform duties and tasks
Solid understanding of various electronic component package types
Ability to research components and package types by manufacturer using part specifications and associated manufacturer and supplier websites
Verifies materials in the kit are the correct part number and their quantities agree with the pick list; includes comparing bill of material (BOM) specifications versus specifications of components in hand
Maintains appropriate records including but not limited to shortage sheets and check-in documents
For consigned/customer supplied items, follows IMS’ control of internal and customer owned property procedures
Learns to read parts specifications and drawings
Prepares and completes Technical Issue (TI) forms to communicate with customers as required
Works with Quality, Purchasing and other groups to resolve exceptions and non-conformances
Maintains the area in a clean, neat and orderly manner
Responsible for the quality and accuracy of own work
Accountabilities / Scope
Interfaces: • Group Leader, Manager, Purchasing, Documentation and Production personnel and Customers as needed
People Managed: • none

Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions
Impact of Error: • Direct impact to product quality and delivery
Knowledge / Skills
Good verbal and written communications skills
High attention to detail
Part and component inspection skills
Use of Inventory Control systems
IPC Certification preferred
Must be able to lift to 25 lbs. on an ongoing basis / daily.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, especially Excel.
Education / Experience
High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
2-5 years of experience in stockroom/kitting or a related area
Electronics manufacturing industry experience preferred
