QC Inspector PCB-A at Intelligent Manufacturing Solutions (IMS)
Pay Range: $28.00/hr - $32.00/hr (based on skills and experience; discuss with recruiter)
Job Summary Perform inspections of printed circuit boards, electro‑mechanical sub‑assemblies, and related products to ensure compliance with IPC‑610 Class 3 and other quality standards.
Utilize gauge, micrometers, vernier calipers, and pin gauges to verify dimensions.
Examine PCB circuitry to detect defects according to IPC‑610 Class 3.
Learn and operate AOI inspection equipment.
Verify components against BOMs and visual aids.
Confirm proper placement of components and solder per IPC specifications.
Verify compliance with prints, schematics, and assembly documentation.
Accept or reject products, documenting results.
Ensure correct revision level, implement engineering changes, and verify prior operations before release to shipping.
Maintain quality and accuracy of own work.
Inspect components to ensure correct value parts are placed.
Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly area.
Accountabilities / Scope Interfaces: Inter‑company personnel People Managed: None Decisions: Under minimal supervision, work independently or as part of a team to recommend and decide on actions that ensure product quality and customer satisfaction. Impact of Error: Direct impact on product quality.
Knowledge / Skills
Knowledge of electro/mechanical industry specifications related to IPC 610 standards.
Ability to read and interpret prints, schematics, and other product documentation.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
IPC‑610 certification preferred.
Use of instructions and pre‑established guidelines to perform job functions.
Exercise independent judgment; creativity and good judgment required.
Education / Experience Associate degree or equivalent experience. 2+ years of experience with IPC-610 standards.
