About the Role

A well-established organization is seeking an

Accounting Office Manager

to oversee the daily operations of the accounting department while managing payroll and employee onboarding. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys working in a collaborative, stable environment and wants to take ownership of both financial and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities of Accounting Office Manager

Oversee

day-to-day accounting operations , including month-end close and financial reporting.

Accounting Office Manager will manage

Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable

processes.

Prepare and process

payroll ; ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and state/federal regulations.

Handle

new hire onboarding , including benefits enrollment, employee setup, and personnel record management.

Administer

health insurance, 401(k), and other benefit programs ; maintain accurate employee benefit data.

Reconcile bank accounts, monitor cash flow, and assist with budgeting.

Maintain organized accounting files and support ownership with analysis and reporting.

Coordinate with external auditors, vendors, and service providers as needed.

Qualifications of Accounting Office Manager

4+ years of accounting experience , including payroll and HR administration.

Strong knowledge of

Sage ,

QuickBooks , or other accounting systems.

Working understanding of

payroll systems

(e.g., Paychex, ADP).

Experience with

benefit administration

and employee onboarding.

Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and confidentiality.

Strong communication and leadership abilities; able to supervise staff and coordinate multiple priorities.
