Position Overview The Adjunct Faculty member supervises students in clinical settings and teaches courses in a variety of modalities including in-person, live virtual, online, and blended. The role requires planning and delivering instruction, assessing student performance, and maintaining course organization.

What you will be doing

Prepare course schedule

Evaluate and advise students

Prepare exams

Prepare syllabus

Monitor class roster

Maintain schedule that allows for student meetings

Schedule laboratory sessions for skills component of course

Teach in lecture and laboratory settings; blended and virtual environments

Disseminate information and recruit students for service‑learning initiatives

Assess student performance in the clinical setting

Perform other duties as assigned

What you need to succeed

Master’s degree in any field and Bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene; valid State of Florida Dental Hygiene licensure; and 3 years of full‑time work and/or instructional experience in field, or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene; or Bachelor's degree in any field and Associate degree in Dental Hygiene from a CODA accredited program; and valid State of Florida Dental Hygiene licensure; and three (3) years of full‑time work and/or instructional experience

All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution

Possess excellent and effective communication skills (written and verbal)

Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community

Ability to work a flexible schedule which may include evening and weekend assignments

Ability to work in a multi‑ethnic/multi‑cultural environment
