We’re looking for a Director of Financial Reporting & Technical Accounting to join our high‑impact corporate finance team. This is a visible, hands‑on leadership role reporting to the Corporate Controller and serving as a trusted partner across finance, accounting, and executive leadership. The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional who thrives in both strategy and execution—leading SEC reporting, technical accounting, and driving continuous improvement in financial processes and controls.
What You’ll Do
Lead External Financial Reporting:
Oversee the preparation of SEC filings and other external reports, including detailed financial statements and footnote disclosures.
Own Technical Accounting:
Research complex accounting matters (impairment, acquisitions, debt, pensions, etc.), prepare technical memos, and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
Optimize Consolidation & Analysis:
Leverage the OneStream consolidation tool to streamline data gathering, analysis, and reporting for financial statements and disclosures.
Partner Across the Business:
Collaborate closely with accounting, tax, and legal teams to ensure compliance and accuracy across all reporting processes.
Enhance Policies & Controls:
Maintain and refine accounting policies and internal controls, ensuring alignment with US GAAP and SOX requirements.
Implement New Standards:
Lead adoption of new accounting standards and evolving disclosure requirements.
Drive Continuous Improvement:
Champion best practices for internal and external reporting quality, process automation, and efficiency.
Support Executive Projects:
Provide insights, technical expertise, and analytical support for ad‑hoc projects and strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA required or strongly preferred
8–15 years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or a mix of public/private
Deep understanding of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and Sarbanes‑Oxley compliance
Experience with manufacturing and purchase accounting is a plus
Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to navigate complex reporting requirements
Skilled communicator who can collaborate effectively across departments and levels
Ability to travel up to 15%
