Job Description:
The Asset Management Team is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support IT software and application projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, technical, and communication skills, with proven experience in gathering and translating requirements for complex IT systems.
Responsibilities
Review and analyze complex business processes and systems, breaking them into manageable parts.
Identify root causes of issues and propose effective solutions.
Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather and document requirements.
Write clear, testable, and detailed functional and non‑functional requirements.
Create wireframes, process flow diagrams, and visualizations (Visio) for proposed modifications.
Manage and track Agile items (Product Backlog, Epics, Features, User Stories, Tasks, and Test Plans/Test Cases) using Azure DevOps (TFS).
Prepare and maintain documentation explaining technical modifications for both business and IT audiences.
Collaborate closely with developers and stakeholders, translating technical and business requirements effectively.
Participate in both Agile/Scrum (including SAFe) and Waterfall project methodologies.
Model business processes using Swim Lane and Flow Chart Diagrams.
Support system rollouts, user adoption, and process improvement initiatives.
Requirements / Must Have
5+ years of Business Analyst experience in IT projects.
Proven experience in IT software/application project environments.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Azure DevOps (TFS) for agile project tracking.
Experience creating diagrams, wireframes, and process documentation using Visio.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum (SAFe) and Waterfall methodologies.
Preferred / Should Have
Ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders effectively.
Strong presentation, negotiation, and conflict‑resolution skills.
Experience in business process modeling and managing user adoption of new systems.
Skills
Analytical thinking and problem‑solving capabilities.
Technical understanding of enterprise software such as Oracle and SQL Server.
Working knowledge of databases (SQL), APIs, and Data Flow Diagrams.
Excellent written documentation and communication abilities.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of Business Analyst experience in IT projects.
Proven track record in managing requirements for enterprise software and application systems.
Qualification and Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
